Molly Filippini, MA, CCC-SLP, earned her Master’s Degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from University of Colorado, Boulder. Molly has over 10 years of experience serving as a bilingual (English-Spanish) pediatric Speech- Language Pathologist (SLP) at both Boulder Community Health and her growing private practice. She has experience evaluating and providing therapy to children ages 2 - 14 with a wide range of speech-language disorders and communication needs.  She has worked with a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, selective mutism, stuttering, and social (pragmatic) communication disorders including autism spectrum disorder.  At Boulder Community Health, Molly is part of a multidisciplinary team that includes SLPs, Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and a psychologist.

Molly enjoys working in the community; consulting with classroom teachers, parents, and caregivers regarding speech-language development; identifying language differences; and supporting speech and language acquisition.  She has also developed and facilitated social skills and friendship groups for neurodiverse children (both online and in-person). These groups focus on social communication and peer interaction through reciprocal games, stories, exploration, and positive interactive experiences.

Molly has collaborated with the University of Colorado Boulder, Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing sciences through The Community Outreach Grant, partnering with the International Refugee Committee (IRC) to support virtual summer camps during COVID-19, and the Single Step program.  She guided and coached facilitators and volunteers to individualize and bolster English language skills while valuing and maintaining home (native) language(s) among the refugee population in Colorado.  The initial part of this multiple-year grant included interviews with parents of culturally and linguistically diverse children with communication disorders.  These interviews were used to provide community-based SLPs with parent perspectives regarding unique family experiences with speech-language evaluations and therapy, including myths, personal truths, and evidence-based research.

Passionate about serving all families, including the growing culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) population of Colorado, Molly is licensed within the state of Colorado through (DORA).  Telepractice (online services) allows her to be a practicing SLP throughout the state.  She also has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Certification with American Speech-Language-Hearing (ASHA).

Molly has spent her lifetime in Colorado.  Born and raised in Denver, she currently resides in Boulder with her husband and two sons.
